Why I built Suppertime

“In the end, it's never the cities you remember it's the people you met in them.”

I've spent a big chunk of the last few years living out of a backpack new cities, working from cafés, chasing decent wifi and cheap flights. The days were incredible. The evenings? Hit or miss. You can only people-watch from a table for one so many times before it gets old.
The apps I tried were either for dating, or giant group chats where nobody actually met up. I didn't want matches or followers. I just wanted to find the handful of people nearby who were also free tonight and also didn't feel like being alone.
So I built the thing I wished existed: a map of real plans, with real people, that quietly disappears when the night's over. No swiping, no pressure.
If you've ever stood outside a great place in a city where you know nobody and thought “I wish I had someone to do this with” Suppertime's for you. See you on the map. 🌍
